2006 Mazda MAZDA 6 Owners Manual

The Mazda 6 has sold over one million units worldwide since its introduction, highly successful sales certainly. For 2006, all vehicles in the Mazda MAZDA 6 lineup have revised front and rear fascias, while sport package-equipped models get a new grille and side sill design. The optional automatic transmission on four-cylinder models is upgraded from a four-speed unit to a five-speed. MAZDA 6 is available as a sedan, wagon or five-door hatchback. Standard equipment on the MAZDA 6 includes a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, air conditioning, a CD stereo, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, cruise control and power windows, mirrors and locks. 2006 Mazda 6 on standard on the base model is a 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine that produce 160 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission is also standard and a five-speed automatic is optional. The Mazda 6 S model upgrades to a 215-horsepower, 3.0-liter V6 engine. Unlike most V6-powered midsize sedans, this one can be equipped with a five-speed manual, or you can go for the optional six-speed automatic. All models MAZDA 6 come with four-wheel antilock disc brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and traction control. Optional on i models and standard on s models are front-seat side airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.
